The current boots app was looking out of date and required an update. Basing the UI on the GEL (Global Experience Language) that was developed in trials such as Digital Advantage Card and Order & Collect, a new and improved app was born.
A greatly improved experience of how a user both is served and interacts with personalised Boots offers was developed. This was achieved by repeatedly testing via both paper and coded prototypes on Boots employees and their loyal customers. Another important part was the inclusion of a digital version of the Boots Advantage Card, something that customers have repeatedly asked for. After some testing with employees at the Boots HQ we were confident that the public would love the new and improved app.
